Oh, how exciting! I just love Emma Watson - it's been great watching her grow up through the Harry Potter films. What I love most is that, because of the character she's played, she's known as the 'smart girl'. I hope Chanel draws on that, and uses more than just her physical presence to promote the brand.
Dear. God. No!
B: I did not think of it that way. I can see a zodiac themed campaign with her wearing the famous Chanel star necklace. They can play up her Potter roots in a chanelesque way.
MP: That was my inital reaction...but I am warming to the idea.
Very good. I think she's a fresh, beautiful girl with that young, playful sophistication that is Mademoiselle!
I look forward to seeing what Miss Watson does with her career when she's finally done with the Potter films.
Annieytown: I guess I just don't see what was so wrong with Keira Knightly. At 23, was she just too old for the part? Or is Chanel trying to use Ms. Watson's leverage and considerable fan-base to push their product on the teen/tween market? IDK, but Watson seems more of the 'Miss Dior Cherie' type.
Unfortunately it turns out this rumor isn't true, but since Chanel doesn't comment on rumors that are untrue only ones that are true, don't hold your breath for an official statement. I was so disappointed by this as both a fashion/beauty junkie and a major Harry Potter fanatic. Although, it wouldn't suprise me at all if eventually they do end up using her in a future campaign. She has a good relationship with Chanel since they dressed her for the entire promo tour and premieres for Order of the Phoenix (5th HP film) last summer and she is close with Karl Lagerfeld. I love Emma and it's amazing to see how much her style has evolved since the first film. I mean, she was dressed by Chanel on the promo tour for the fifth film and Alberta Ferretti on the tour for the fourth film.
