A Long and Fatal Love Chase:
MAC'S A Rose Romance Collection

“Why is it no one ever sent me yet one perfect limousine, do you suppose?
Ah no, it's always just my luck to get one perfect rose.”

(Quote from Dorothy Parker)

This is one of the beauty powders from the upcoming A Rose Romance collection. It is called Summer Rose and will retail for $22. It is a muted cool toned violet pink with no shimmer. It is stunningly lovely on the cheeks. Very doll-like and fresh as a rose petal.

The shimmer aspect is being debated on the beauty blogs and makeupalley. Weighing in....I get zero shimmer. This makes it a fine and wearable choice for work and daytime activities.

Hi Annie-
I am debating whether to buy Goldyrocks; I was wondering how it is working out for you? Thanks!

Annie,

is it really violet or more on the pink side? I've seen mixed reviews, so I was wondering...

Ruby: I love Goldyrocks!!!! LOVE IT!
Just adds this pretty tinge of yellow gold to the lips. The shimmer is fairly subtle for a dazzleglass. Have the SA open your tube before you buy. Mine was not 100% full.

R: More pink...but on the gray side. This is not bubblegum or anything remotely warm-like. It is moody...if that makes any kind of sense. LOL

I love Louisa May Alcott, I love Mrs. Parket, and I love all things rose-themed. Nice post!

at least this blush looks very different from other MAC blushes. :) I like the design but the colour looks quite common to me.

I love that you used that title for this post. It's one of my favourite books ever. Nice coloured powder, too. :)

That beauty powder looks lovely. Do you think it would work on darker skin. I always fear that they look great on the fairer ladies but so lackluster one me.

Are you seeing this replacing blush or in addition to? I use my Barbie beauty powders in addition to blush.
