Attention perfume fanatics:
Now...I do not want chaos or mass pandemonium but several Jars have just popped up on Ebay. The Jars are Golconda and Jarling.
The last time I visited NYC I spent some time in the Jar boutique in Bergdorf Goodman. The SA was very dashing and charming. He made the simple testing decadent and slightly naughty. Of course I was hooked by the experience.
The Jar fragrances are works of art. You marvel at their drydowns. I sat there and shouted out potential notes while the SA smiled a mysterious "I know the notes and you do not" smile. I want to buy each and every one of these scents and just figure out their compositions. These are the type of perfumes that make you want to open a lab and spend your day breaking their code.
I am not going to bid on these auctions because I am an ebay virgin. Feel free to bid and let me know if you win. I will then beg you to spend your days figuring out the notes.
Yes. I will beg and be a pest.

Lovely lemmings from left to right: Alexandra Neel suede vertige sandal with metal heel(perfect for Peej's shoe party), Hermes extra wide enamel bracelet (looks like pumpkin carriages so I am smitten), Dior by John Galliano tulle evening shoe (I am fascinated with the perfume bottle looking heel), Chanel resin cuff (notice the perfume bottle), pirate ring from Dior for tbone, Balenciaga Mary Jane platform and the Mulberry Annie bag. I think I might want this: Catherine Memmi Incense Holder
Description from Fancy Dans: This sharp granite style incense holder with the engraved Catherine Memmi logo, is a simple and elegant present when combined with the incense sticks.

Latest TJ Maxx score: Catherine Memmi Ambre candle. It is a stunning amber based candle. It might even rival my great love for the John Galliano candle.
Yes...it is that good.
Available at Fancy Dans.

Marc Blackwell's Violetta, Savon du Chef soap and Serendipity lamp at Napa Home.
I found this site while looking for Catherine Memmi candles. Make sure to visit the candles and home fragrance section. They have incredible brands.

There is a great fragrance article on page 261. Karl Bradl from Aedes was featured along with Frederic Malle, Mandy Aftel and Christopher Brosius. Malle stated that every woman should wear the classics once in her life. He mentioned Guerlain's L'Heure Bleu & Shalimar, Piguet's Fracas, Balenciaga's Cristobal, Caron Fleur de Rocaille, Creed's Fleurisimmo, Chanel's 5 & 19, and Estee Lauder's White Linen.
The man forgot Guerlain's Mitsouko.
BTW: There is a great ponytail spread on page 212 that will greatly interest Parisjasmal. Peej has been rockin the ponytail for years.
Happy Belated Birthday to PattyG! I hope you had a wonderful and special day.

Another beauty product lemming: Talika Eyelash Conditioning Cream from Sephora $30.
They had me at "rogaine like effect" and fuller fringe in a matter of weeks. The directions are to slather it on in the morning and at night.
There is a sucker born every minute.
This sucker was born new years day.
I think I need to try this for investigative purposes.
You know... for the blog.

Check out the Imaginary Socialite's post called The Ninth Circle.

I am a fan of her site and her writing. This particular post was the best yet.

Anyone know(besides Hirondelle) who this is?
No prize available but just a cyber slap on the back and the praise of your peers.
I was looking at the new photos of Dita Von Teese on gettyimages when I remembered how much I adored the Dolce and Gabbana ads with Sherilyn Fenn. I thought she was stunning, the movie Two Moon Junction was a cult favorite among my circle of friends and she was damn perfect in one of my all time favorite television shows Twin Peaks. So here are some of her best pictures to gaze at this saturday afternoon. Did she not look like a young Ava Gardner?

I have been spending the last few days sleeping and playing in the archives of two pretty fab blogs. The first one is the amazing Style Bubble.
http://stylebubble.typepad.com/style_bubble/
This blog is incredible. Truly one of the best fashion based blogs out there.
The other is The Sartorialist.
http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/
I devoured his archives last weekend. A must read for the dandy gentleman with some fashion flair. I was instantly in love with his site.
I also have started to wear my spring/summer scents. Today I wore Susanne Lang's Black Orchid with Red Ginger. The combo is a vanilla floral with a ginger punch.
Susanne Lang is available at Saks(call Elson in NYC) or Luckyscent
